MLB

    Most efficient MLB team

    Salary vs Record

    1. New York Mets (~$369M) 8-16
    2. Philadelphia Phillies (~$310M) 8-16
    3. Boston Red Sox (~$260M) 9-15
    4. Houston Astros (~$234M) 10-16
    5. Kansas City Royals (~$130M est.) 8-17
    6. Chicago White Sox (~$105M) 9-14
    7. Colorado Rockies (~$105M) 10-15

The Colorado Rockies are the most ā€œefficientā€ here (not amazing, but least wasteful). The New York Mets are in a completely different universe—spending 4–5x more per win than the Rockies. There’s a $35M gap per win between top spender inefficiency and bottom spender efficiency.

Oh, and the Rockies split a series with the largest spender in the league. Is this league named Major League Dodgers or Major League Baseball?

    ABS Challenge signal ideas

Currently the signal to challenge a pitch is to tap twice on the helmet (hat). Some commentators have noted that this can be confusing when a player is adjusting their helmet hat.

A few ideas to change the sign:

    •Twirl hand

    •Ballerina twirl

•Rub head and pat belly at the same time (vice versa works too)

    •Tap helmet hat with bat

    •Hit umpire with bat

Colorado Rockies defeat Pittsburgh Pirates, coming back from 9-0

Wow I wish I’d have been able to watch this one.

A solid win for the Colorado Rockies v Cinci Reds. Had to walk Elly 3 times to do it but a win is a win. Amazing passion from Victor Vodnick. Jordan Beck’s bat needs to remain solid.

One incredible feat for this Colorado Rockies season is the fans. No booing; no jeering. Just support. It’s been a rough season but that says something about the team and region.

Colorado Rockies pitcher Juan Mejia and Zach Agnos are legit
